Key Issues

We live in a time and place of incredible contrast. A state with incredible natural beauty, but dirty air and serious water issues.A massive divide between urban and rural reality. An affordability crisis affecting nearly everyone daily, and for some of us a nightly crisis. We are making progress in some areas, like investing in public education, the heart of democracy and our economy. Most of us know the money is desperately needed for essential services, but want more confidence that it will actually improve our lives, make health care affordable and improve our children’s classroom. Livability is a serious issue in the Metro area, from traffic to affordable housing, dependable health and mental health care and faith in government at all levels.
